OK, you do your taxes, then what? If you’re one of the lucky ones who expect to get an IRS refund, here’s what to expect. If the IRS has accepted your federal tax return and sent your a notification email then it’s just a matter of looking up some dates on the 2013 IRS Refund Cycle.
Take a look at your IRS email and there will be a date: the date of acceptance of your federal tax return. Use that date to look up the expected day of your refund. Do this only on the IRS website since you will be giving personal information to the site in order to identify yourself.
The 2013 IRS Refund Cycle looks like this:
- file your taxes
- wait and get an email from the IRS indicating they have received and accepted your federal tax return
- go to the 2013 IRS Refund Cycle website and create a login
- use your IRS acceptance date to look up your expected refund date on the chart
And remember, use only the IRS official 2013 IRS Refund Cycle charts on the .gov website, no others.
